Talk about it together: What helps us feel brave when the room is dark?
- خذوا خوف طفلكم عند النوم بجدّية. استمعوا أوّلاً، ثمّ انظروا معاً تحت السرير إن كان ذلك يطمئنه.
- ضوءٌ ليليٌّ خافت ولعبةٌ مفضّلة ولعبةُ تنفّسٍ بطيء تجعل الظلام أكثر أماناً.
- الشجاعة لا تعني ألّا نخاف. أخبروا طفلكم أنّ الشجاع يتقدّم وهو خائف.
- Take bedtime fears seriously. Listen first, then look under the bed together if it helps.
- A small night light, a favourite toy and a slow breathing game can make the dark feel safe.
- Brave does not mean not scared. Tell your child that being brave is doing it while feeling scared.
