ابني مجد عمره ثلاث سنوات ويحبّ السيارات، فبدأتُ أصنع له حكاياتٍ قصيرةً قبل النوم: فيها اسمُه، وسيارتُه الصغيرة، وجدّو الذي نسي نظّارته، وتنتهي كلُّ واحدةٍ وهو في سريره.

«تصبح» هي تلك الحكايات، فتحتُها لأطفالكم أيضاً، بعربيةٍ تخاطب الولد بصيغة الولد والبنتَ بصيغة البنت. وإن قرأتم جملةً لم ترتاحوا لها، اكتبوا لنا ونُصلحها.

My son Majd is three and loves cars, so I started making him short bedtime stories: his name, his little toy car, Grandpa losing his glasses, and every one ending with him in his own bed.

Tisbah is those stories, opened up for your children too, in Arabic that speaks to a boy as a boy and a girl as a girl, and in English. If a line ever reads wrong to you, write to us and we'll fix it.

جدّو جاء على العشاء ونسي أين وضع نظّارته، ومجد عنده شاحنة إنقاذ صغيرة. غيّروا العمر وانظروا: لابن الثالثة أربعة أسطرٍ قصيرة، ولابن السابعة حكايةٌ أطول بقليل.

Grandpa came for dinner and can't find his glasses, and Majd has a little tow truck. Change the age and watch it grow: four short lines for a three-year-old, a longer story for a seven-year-old.

كلّ حكايةٍ مكتوبةٌ كاملةً مسبقاً، من أوّل سطرٍ إلى آخره، بالعربية والإنجليزية، وبثلاثة أطوالٍ حسب العمر. حين تضغطون الزرّ لا يُؤلَّف شيءٌ في تلك اللحظة: نختار حكايةً جاهزةً تناسب عمر طفلكم وما يحبّه، ونضع اسمه فيها بصيغة الولد أو البنت.

Every story is written out in full ahead of time, first line to last, in Arabic and English and in three lengths by age. Nothing is made up on the spot when you press the button: we pick a finished story that fits your child's age and what they love, and put their name in with the right boy or girl forms.
