Majd's planet set had eight bouncy planets, one for each in the solar system. By bedtime they were scattered all over the bedroom: Jupiter under the desk, Saturn in a slipper, Neptune nowhere to be seen. "Tidy-up time," said Mama. Majd groaned. "There are too many."

"Then let's put them back in order," said Mama, "closest to farthest, like in space. First, Mercury." Majd found tiny grey Mercury by the bookshelf and put it in the first hole in the box. Then shiny Venus, then Earth, then dusty red Mars.

Big Jupiter came out from under the desk, and Saturn came out of the slipper. Uranus was on the windowsill. But where was Neptune? They searched and searched, until Majd spotted something blue inside his wellington boot. "Found it! The farthest planet was hiding farthest away!"

Mama laughed. All eight planets sat in a neat row in their box, and the floor was clear. "That's a well-organised solar system," she said, tucking Majd into bed. Majd yawned. "Goodnight, Mercury, Venus, Earth…" He was asleep before reaching Neptune. The end.
