قصة قبل النوم عن اللطف ومساعدة الآخرين للأطفال الذين يحبّون القمرَ والنجوم

كانت تيتا مصابةً بزكامٍ شديد، ولم تستطع أن تأتي للعشاء كعادتها يوم الخميس. وفي مكالمة الفيديو كان صوتها مبحوحاً وعيناها متعبتين، وقالت: «أشتاق إلى ليالي تيتا.» وبعد المكالمة جلس مَجْد بهدوءٍ شديد، ثمّ سأل: «هل نفعل شيئاً يفرحها؟»

Teta had a bad cold and couldn't come for dinner, the way she usually did on Thursdays. On the video call, her voice was croaky and her eyes looked tired. "I miss my Teta nights," she said. After the call, Majd sat very quietly. "Can we do something to cheer her up?" he asked.

فأحضرت ماما ورقاً مقوّى وصمغاً ووعاء اللمعان، وقالت: «تيتا تحبّ النظر إلى القمر من شرفتها. ربّما تصنع لها قمراً تحتفظ به في الداخل.» فرسم مَجْد قمراً مستديراً كبيراً وقصّه بعناية، وطرف لسانه يطلّ من زاوية فمه.

Mama fetched card, glue and the jar of glitter. "Teta loves looking at the moon from her balcony," she said. "Maybe you could make her one she can keep inside." So Majd drew a big round moon and carefully cut it out, tongue poking from the corner of his mouth.

ولوّنه بالأصفر الباهت، وأضاف فوّهاتٍ رماديّةً بالإسفنجة، ونثر اللمعان حول الحافّة. وعلى الظهر ساعدته ماما أن يكتب: «سلامتك يا تيتا. أحبّك إلى القمر وأكثر.» ووعد بابا أن يوصله إلى شقّة تيتا في طريقه إلى العمل.

He painted it pale yellow, added grey craters with a sponge, and sprinkled glitter round the edge. On the back, Mama helped him write: Get well soon, Teta. I love you to the moon and back. Baba promised to drop it at Teta's flat on his way to work.

ووقت النوم نظر مَجْد من النافذة إلى القمر الحقيقيّ يلمع فوق السطوح، وقال: «تيتا ترى هذا أيضاً، صار عندها قمران.» فابتسمت ماما ودثّرته وقالت: «كانت فكرةً لطيفةً جدّاً»، فنام مَجْد سعيداً. النهاية.

At bedtime, Majd looked out of the window at the real moon, shining over the rooftops. "Teta can see that one too," he said. "Two moons for her now." Mama smiled and tucked him in. "That was a very kind idea," she said, and Majd fell asleep happy. The end.
