أثر الطين

دخلت لينا بعد لعب الكرة، وفي كلّ مكانٍ أثرٌ من الجوارب والأحذية الموحلة!

Lina came in from playing ball. There was a trail of muddy socks and boots everywhere!

فأعطتها ماما سلّة الغسيل وقالت مبتسمة: «لنتبع الأثر.»

Mama gave her the washing basket. "Let's follow the trail," she said with a smile.

جوربٌ، فجوربان، فقميص، فالسروال، كلّها في السلّة! والحذاء قرب الباب.

One sock, two socks, a shirt, the shorts. Into the basket! The boots went by the door.

فعادت الأرض نظيفة، وحمّمت ماما لينا ودثّرتها. النهاية.

The floor was clean again. Mama gave Lina a bath and tucked her in. The end.

Talk about it together: Which toys will we put back first tomorrow?

Make tidying a game: a song, a race against the timer, or "find everything red".
Give every toy a home: boxes or shelves with a picture on the front.
Tidy together at the same time each evening, so it becomes part of bedtime.
