التراب المنسكب

ساعدت لينا بابا في زراعة غرنوقٍ أحمر. أوه! انسكب التراب على الأرض كلّها.

Lina helped Baba plant a red geranium. Oops! Soil spilled all over the floor.

قال بابا: «لا بأس»، وأعطاها فرشاةً صغيرة. كنسةٌ وكنسة، إلى المجرود!

"No problem," said Baba. He gave Lina a little brush. Swish, swoosh, into the dustpan!

وعاد التراب إلى الأصيص، وجلس الغرنوق سعيداً على حافّة النافذة.

The soil went back in the pot. The geranium sat happily on the windowsill.

قالت لينا: «أرضٌ نظيفة ونبتةٌ سعيدة.» فغسل بابا يديها ودثّرها. النهاية.

"Clean floor, happy plant," said Lina. Baba washed her hands and tucked her in. The end.

سؤالٌ نتحدّث عنه بعد القصة: أيّ الألعاب سنعيدها إلى مكانها أوّلاً غداً؟

Talk about it together: Which toys will we put back first tomorrow?

Make tidying a game: a song, a race against the timer, or "find everything red".
Give every toy a home: boxes or shelves with a picture on the front.
Tidy together at the same time each evening, so it becomes part of bedtime.
