لينا والنافذة التي تطرق

طق! تك! سمعت لينا صوتاً عند النافذة، فاختبأت تحت البطانيّة مع لعبتها، الديناصور دينو.

Tap! Tick! Lina heard a noise at the window. She hid under the blanket with her toy dinosaur, Dino.

نادت لينا: «ماما!» فجاءت ماما وقالت: «هل نكون شجعاناً وننظر معاً؟» وأمسكت يدها.

"Mama!" she called. Mama came in. "Shall we be brave and look together?" she asked, holding her hand.

نظرا من النافذة، فإذا هو غصنٌ صغيرٌ يتمايل في الريح. فابتسمت لينا وقالت: «مرحباً أيّها الغصن!»

They peeked out. It was only a little tree branch, waving in the wind. "Hello, branch!" said Lina with a smile.

ثمّ أعادتها ماما مع دينو إلى السرير، وهمست: «كنتِ شجاعةً جدّاً.» تصبحين على خير. النهاية.

Mama tucked Lina and Dino back into bed. "You were so brave," she whispered. Goodnight, Lina. The end.

Talk about it together: What helps us feel brave when the room is dark?

خذوا خوف طفلكم عند النوم بجدّية. استمعوا أوّلاً، ثمّ انظروا معاً تحت السرير إن كان ذلك يطمئنه.
ضوءٌ ليليٌّ خافت ولعبةٌ مفضّلة ولعبةُ تنفّسٍ بطيء تجعل الظلام أكثر أماناً.
الشجاعة لا تعني ألّا نخاف. أخبروا طفلكم أنّ الشجاع يتقدّم وهو خائف.

Take bedtime fears seriously. Listen first, then look under the bed together if it helps.
A small night light, a favourite toy and a slow breathing game can make the dark feel safe.
Brave does not mean not scared. Tell your child that being brave is doing it while feeling scared.
