It was the best railway Lina had ever built: two levels, a swing bridge and a station with a working signal. She had spent the whole evening on it, and now, in pyjamas, she was making the final adjustments before bed. That was when baby Lulu, ten months old and recently mobile, crawled across the rug at astonishing speed, grabbed the swing bridge with both fists and pulled. The upper level collapsed onto the lower one with a crash. "LULU!" Lina roared. "You've wrecked it! Go away!" Lulu's face crumpled and she wailed.
