Talk about it together: What will we teach the baby when they are bigger?
- خصّصوا كلّ يومٍ وقتاً قصيراً لطفلكم الأكبر وحده معكم.
- أعطوه مهمّاتٍ حقيقيّة، مثل اختيار جوارب المولود أو الغناء له.
- المشاعر المختلطة طبيعيّة. دعوا طفلكم يقول «أشتاق إلى الوقت الذي كنتُ فيه وحدي» دون أن تلوموه.
- Keep a little special time each day with your older child, just the two of you.
- Give real helper jobs, like choosing the baby's socks or singing to them.
- Mixed feelings are normal. Let your child say "I miss when it was just me" without telling them off.
