بعد الحمّام لبس مَجْد تاج الأميرة اللامع ليتجوّل في الغرفة كأحد أفراد العائلة الملكيّة في حفلة. فحدّقت فيه لولو الصغيرة الجالسة على البساط بعينين واسعتين، ثمّ رفعت ذراعيها وأصدرت صوتاً مُلحّاً. فقال مَجْد: «لا يا لولو، إنّه لي.»
After bath time, Majd put on his sparkly princess tiara to walk around the bedroom, like a royal at a ball. Baby Lulu, sitting on the rug, stared at it with huge eyes. Then she held up both arms and made a demanding noise. "No, Lulu," said Majd. "It's mine."
فبدأت شفة لولو السفلى ترتجف، ورفعت ماما حاجبها: «هو لك فعلاً، والقرار لك، لكنّي أظنّها تريد أن تراه عن قرب دقيقةً فقط.» فتنهّد مَجْد، فهو أحبّ أشيائه، ثمّ جثا بجانب لولو.
Lulu's bottom lip began to wobble. Mama raised an eyebrow. "It is yours," she said. "And you can decide. But I think she just wants to see it close up, for a minute." Majd sighed. It was his favourite thing. Then he knelt down next to Lulu.
فخلع التاج وأمسكه لتلمس لولو أحجاره اللامعة، فربّتت عليه برفقٍ شديدٍ تهدل. ثمّ وضعه مَجْد لحظةً على رأس لولو المنفوش، فشهقت ماما: «أميرتان!» فضحكت لولو، ثمّ نزعته ومدّته إلى مَجْد.
He took off the tiara and held it so Lulu could touch the sparkly stones. Lulu patted it very gently, cooing. Then Majd balanced it on Lulu's fluffy head for a second. Mama gasped. "Two princesses!" Lulu giggled, then pulled it off and held it out to Majd.
فقال مَجْد متفاجئاً: «أعادته!» قالت ماما: «لأنّك شاركته بلطف.» ووضعت التاج على الرفّ ودثّرته وهمست: «كان هذا تصرّفاً ملكيّاً.» فابتسم مَجْد ونام. النهاية.
"She gave it back!" said Majd, surprised. "Because you shared it kindly," said Mama. She put the tiara on the shelf and tucked Majd into bed. "That was a royal thing to do," she whispered. Majd smiled, and fell asleep. The end.
