Bedtime story about welcoming a new baby for kids who love football

في كلّ مساءٍ بعد العشاء يتدرّب مَجْد على ركل الكرة نحو حائط المدخل، وفي كلّ مساءٍ تحبو الطفلة لولو إلى وسط اللعب تريد الكرة، فيضطرّ مَجْد أن يتوقّف مرّةً بعد مرّة: «ماما! لولو تعترض الطريق دائماً!»
Every evening after dinner, Majd practised kicking the ball against the wall in the hall. And every evening, baby Lulu crawled straight into the middle of it, wanting the ball. Majd had to stop again and again. "Mama! Lulu keeps getting in the way!"
فحملت ماما لولو وقالت: «إنّها لا تحاول إفساد اللعب، بل تريد أن تلعب معك، فأنت أحبّ شخصٍ إليها.» فنظر مَجْد إلى لولو، فمدّت يديها الممتلئتين نحو الكرة وأصدرت صوتاً سعيداً.
Mama picked Lulu up. "She isn't trying to spoil it," she said. "She just wants to play with you. You're her favourite person." Majd looked at Lulu, who reached out her chubby hands towards the ball and made a happy squeaking noise.
فجلس مَجْد على البساط فاتحاً ساقيه، ووضعت ماما لولو مقابله بالطريقة نفسها، فدحرج مَجْد الكرة ببطءٍ إلى لولو، فدفعتها لولو بيديها الاثنتين، فتمايلت لكنّها وصلت. فصاح مَجْد: «لقد مرّرت!»
So Majd sat down on the rug with his legs wide apart, and Mama put Lulu opposite, the same way. Majd rolled the ball slowly to Lulu, and she pushed it back with both hands. It wobbled, but it came. "She passed!" shouted Majd.
وظلّا يدحرجان الكرة ذهاباً وإياباً حتّى تثاءبت لولو، ثمّ حان وقت النوم لهما معاً. فدثّرته ماما وقالت: «أنت مدرّبٌ جيّد.» فابتسم مَجْد؛ غداً سيتدرّب مع الحائط، ثمّ مع لولو. النهاية.
They rolled the ball back and forth until Lulu yawned. Then it was bedtime for both of them. Mama tucked Majd in. "You're a good coach," she said. Majd smiled. Tomorrow, he would practise with the wall, and then with Lulu. The end.
