التلويحة الملكيّة للولو

كانت لينا تجيد التلويحة الملكيّة، كأميرةٍ في موكب: بطيئةً وأنيقة.

Lina could do a royal wave, like a princess in a parade. Slow and fancy.

فراقبت لولو الصغيرة من فرشتها، ورفعت يدها الممتلئة وخفقت بها.

Baby Lulu watched from her mat. She lifted her chubby hand and flapped it.

فقالت لينا: «هكذا يا لولو»، وأدارت يدها برفق، فلوّحت لولو ببطءٍ وأناقة!

"Like this, Lulu," said Lina, gently turning her hand. Lulu waved, slow and fancy!

فصفّقت ماما ثمّ دثّرتها: «ملوّحان ملكيّان.» تصبحين على خير. النهاية.

Mama clapped and tucked Lina in. "Two royal wavers," she said. Goodnight. The end.

Talk about it together: What will we teach the baby when they are bigger?

خصّصوا كلّ يومٍ وقتاً قصيراً لطفلكم الأكبر وحده معكم.
أعطوه مهمّاتٍ حقيقيّة، مثل اختيار جوارب المولود أو الغناء له.
المشاعر المختلطة طبيعيّة. دعوا طفلكم يقول «أشتاق إلى الوقت الذي كنتُ فيه وحدي» دون أن تلوموه.

Keep a little special time each day with your older child, just the two of you.
Give real helper jobs, like choosing the baby's socks or singing to them.
Mixed feelings are normal. Let your child say "I miss when it was just me" without telling them off.
