Bedtime story was the best part of Majd's day, and tonight it was the princess book, the chapter where the princess finally escapes from the tower. He was in bed with the book open at the right page, ready. But Mama was in the rocking chair in the corner, feeding Lulu, and Lulu was in no hurry at all. "Mama," said Majd loudly, "you said story time." Lulu jerked awake and let out a cry. Mama winced. "I know, sweetheart," she whispered. "But she needs me first. Can you wait, quietly, just a little longer?"
