الشجرة في مسرحيّة الأميرة

كانت الحضانة تقدّم مسرحيّة أميرة، وأرادت لينا أن تكون الأميرة، لكنّ دورها الشجرة.

The nursery was doing a princess play. Lina wanted to be the princess, but she was the tree.

قال بابا: «الأشجار مهمّة، فالأميرة تختبئ خلف الشجرة!» فوقفت لينا منتصبةً.

"Trees are important," said Baba. "The princess hides behind the tree!" Lina stood up very tall.

ورفعت ذراعيها كالأغصان وتمايلت، ووش، قالت الريح، فصفّق بابا.

She held up her arms like branches and swayed. Whoosh, went the wind. Baba clapped.

قال بابا وهو يدثّرها: «أفضل شجرةٍ على الإطلاق.» فابتسمت لينا ونامت. النهاية.

"Best tree ever," said Baba, tucking her in. Lina smiled and fell asleep. The end.
