قالت لينا وقت النوم: «لا أريد الذهاب إلى الحضانة، أشتاق إلى البيت طوال اليوم.»

"I don't want to go to nursery," said Lina at bedtime. "I miss home all day."

فوجدت ماما جوارب الكرة، تلك التي بألوان فريق بابا، وقالت: «البسيها غداً.»

Mama found her football socks, the ones with Baba's team colours. "Wear these tomorrow," she said.

«وحين تشتاقين إلينا حرّكي أصابع قدميك، وتذكّري أنّ فريقك ينتظرك في البيت.»

"When you miss us, wiggle your toes. Then you'll remember: your team is waiting at home."

فحرّكت لينا أصابع قدميها تحت الغطاء، وقبّلتها ماما قبلة النوم مبتسمة. النهاية.

Lina wiggled her toes under the blanket. Mama kissed her goodnight, smiling. The end.
