كوب دوّار الشمس

في الحضانة اليوم، زرعت لينا بذرة دوّار شمسٍ في كوبٍ ورقيٍّ صغيرٍ قرب النافذة.

At nursery today, Lina planted a sunflower seed in a little paper cup by the window.

ووقت النوم عبست وقالت: «من سيعتني ببذرتي الليلة؟»

At bedtime, she frowned at Mama. "Who will look after my little seed tonight?"

قالت ماما: «بذرتك نائمةٌ في التراب الدافئ، والبذور تكبر في الليل أيضاً.»

"Your seed is sleeping in the warm soil," said Mama. "Seeds grow at night too."

فقالت لينا: «مثلي!» ودثّرتها ماما، وكلاهما يكبر في أثناء النوم. النهاية.

"Like me!" said Lina. Mama tucked her in. Both of them could grow while sleeping. The end.

شيءٌ صغيرٌ من البيت، مثل صورة أو سيّارة صغيرة في الحقيبة، يساعد في الصباحات الصعبة.

Keep goodbyes short and warm, with the same goodbye ritual every day.
Tell your child exactly when you will come back: "after lunch and story time".
A small reminder from home, like a photo or a toy car in the bag, can help on hard mornings.
