قصة قبل النوم عن اللطف ومساعدة الآخرين للأطفال الذين يحبّون السيارات

جاء جدّو على العشاء، ووعد أن يقرأ بعده حكاية النوم لمَجْد. لكنّه حين جلس في الكرسيّ الكبير، تحسّس جيوبه وعبس: «يا إلهي، لا أجد نظّارتي، ولا أستطيع القراءة من دونها.»

Grandpa had come for dinner, and afterwards he promised to read Majd a bedtime story. But when he sat down in the armchair, he patted his pockets and frowned. "Oh dear," he said. "I can't find my glasses, and I can't read without them."

فبحث الجميع على الطاولة وعند الباب، فلم يجدوا النظّارة. ثمّ خطرت لمَجْد فكرة: أحضر شاحنة الإنقاذ الصفراء الصغيرة، تلك التي لها خطّافٌ حقيقيّ، وقال: «لا تقلق يا جدّو، شاحنة الإنقاذ ستجدها!»

Everyone looked on the table and by the door, but no glasses. Then Majd had an idea. He fetched his little yellow tow truck, the one with a real hook. "Don't worry, Grandpa," he said. "The rescue truck will find them!"

فاستلقى مَجْد على السجّادة، وقاد الشاحنة ببطءٍ تحت الكنبة. طق! اصطدمت بشيء. فعلّقه بالخطّاف بحذر وسحبه إلى الخارج: كانت نظّارة جدّو، عليها قليلٌ من الغبار، لكنّها سليمة. فضحك جدّو وعانقه: «يا بطلي!»

Majd lay on the rug and drove the truck slowly under the sofa. Bump! It hit something. Carefully, he hooked it and pulled it out. There were Grandpa's glasses, a bit dusty but safe. "My hero!" laughed Grandpa, giving him a big hug.

وقرأ جدّو حكاية النوم بنظّارته، وشاحنة الإنقاذ على ذراع الكرسيّ بفخر. ثمّ وضعته ماما في السرير وهمست: «كان هذا لطفاً كبيراً منك.» فابتسم مَجْد ونام. النهاية.

Grandpa read the bedtime story with his glasses on, and the tow truck sat proudly on the arm of the chair. Then Mama tucked Majd into bed. "That was very kind," she whispered. Majd smiled and fell asleep. The end.
