Lina's room had the best ceiling in the family. Over two years, she and Baba had stuck up nearly a hundred glow-in-the-dark stars, arranged in real constellations copied from a star map. When the light went off, the whole ceiling became the night sky. Cousin Sami, who was sleeping over tonight, lay on the camp bed staring up at it. "My ceiling's just white," he said quietly. "At home, when it's dark, I don't like it much." Lina didn't say anything, but she kept thinking about it while Baba read the bedtime chapter.
