قصة قبل النوم للبنات عن المشاركة وتبادل الأدوار، لكلّ بنتٍ تحبّ القمرَ والنجوم

أرسلت تيتا للينا كيساً من النجوم المضيئة في الظلام، خمسين نجمةً مع هلالٍ كبير، ولم تطق لينا صبراً لتلصقها كلّها على سقف غرفتها. لكنّ سامي كان يبيت الليلة على السرير المتنقّل، وحين رأى الكيس اتّسعت عيناه وقال: «ليت عندي نجوماً.»

Teta had sent Lina a packet of glow-in-the-dark stars, fifty of them, with a big crescent moon. Lina couldn't wait to stick them all over her ceiling. But tonight cousin Sami was sleeping over on the camp bed, and when he saw the packet, his eyes went wide. "I wish I had stars," he said.

فنظرت لينا إلى الكيس؛ خمسون نجمةً عددٌ كبير. وقالت ببطء: «تستطيع أن تأخذ بعضها لغرفتك في البيت. ما رأيك بخمسٍ وعشرين لكلٍّ منّا؟ واختر أنت أوّلاً.» فاختار سامي بعناية: نجمةً كبيرة، ونجمةً صغيرة، ونجمةً ذات ذيل.

Lina looked at the packet. Fifty stars was a lot of stars. "You can have some for your room at home," she said slowly. "How about twenty-five each? And you can choose first." Sami chose carefully: a big one, a little one, a shooting star.

وألصق بابا نصف لينا على السقف، وأبقيا بضع نجومٍ فوق السرير المتنقّل لهذه الليلة. ثمّ أطفأ بابا النور، فأضاءت النجوم بخضرةٍ ناعمةٍ فوق السريرين. وهمس سامي: «كأنّنا نخيّم في الفضاء.»

Baba put Lina's half up on the ceiling, and they kept a few above the camp bed for tonight. Then Baba switched off the light. The stars glowed soft green, above both beds. "It's like we're camping in space," whispered Sami.

ووُضعت بقيّة نجوم سامي في ظرفٍ صغيرٍ يأخذه إلى بيته. وقالت لينا: «الآن صارت لنا السماء نفسها.» ودثّرهما بابا وقال: «ستفخر بك تيتا كثيراً.» فنامت لينا وهي تعدّ النجوم، سعيدةً من القلب. النهاية.

The rest of Sami's stars went into a little envelope for him to take home. "Now we'll both have the same sky," said Lina. Baba tucked them in. "Teta will be very proud," he said. Lina fell asleep counting stars, feeling happy all the way through. The end.
