قصة قبل النوم للبنات عن المشاركة وتبادل الأدوار، لكلّ بنتٍ تحبّ الحيوانات

بعد قصّة النوم، أطفأ بابا المصباح وأضاء مصباحه اليدويّ، ووجّهه إلى الحائط وشبك يديه، فظهر فجأةً أرنبٌ على الحائط يحرّك أذنيه. فصرخت لينا فرحاً: «دعني أمسك المصباح! أريد أن أفعلها!» وسحبته من يد بابا، فاختفى الأرنب.

After the bedtime story, Baba switched off the lamp and turned on his torch. He pointed it at the wall and twisted his hands together. Suddenly there was a rabbit on the wall, wiggling its ears. Lina squealed. "Let me hold the torch! I want to do it!" She pulled it out of Baba's hand, and the rabbit vanished.

قال بابا: «همم. حين يكون المصباح في يد، يصعب صنع الظلال بالأخرى. عروض الظلّ تحتاج إلى شخصين: واحدٍ للضوء، وآخر للحيوانات. هل نتقاسم العمل؟»

"Hmm," said Baba. "With the torch in one hand, it's hard to make shadows with the other. Shadow shows need two people: one for the light, and one for the animals. Shall we share the jobs?"

فأمسكت لينا المصباح ثابتاً، وصنع بابا أرنباً وبطّةً وكلباً ينبح. ثمّ تبادلا: أمسك بابا الضوء، وصنعت لينا عصفوراً يرفرف وحلزوناً يتمايل. وخمّن بابا كلّ واحد، وضحكا حتّى نادت ماما: «وقت النوم!»

So Lina held the torch steady while Baba made a rabbit, a duck and a barking dog. Then they swapped. Baba held the light, and Lina made a bird flapping its wings, and a wobbly snail. Baba guessed every one, and they laughed until Mama called "Sleep time!"

فدثّرها بابا ووضع المصباح على الطاولة الصغيرة وقال: «كان أجمل عرض ظلٍّ على الإطلاق، لأنّنا كنّا اثنين.» فابتسمت لينا للحائط المظلم حيث رقصت الحيوانات، ونامت. النهاية.

Baba tucked Lina in and put the torch on the bedside table. "That was the best shadow show ever," he said. "Because there were two of us." Lina smiled at the dark wall where the animals had danced, and fell asleep. The end.
