Baby Lulu had been home for three weeks, and Lina was still getting used to her. She was tiny and soft and smelled of milk, but tonight she was also extremely loud. She had been crying since dinner. Mama walked up and down the hall, patting her back. Baba tried the rocking chair. Nothing worked. Lina sat on the stairs with her chin in her hands, wishing everyone would just be quiet.
