Usually the evenings in Lina's house were full of noise: the clatter of dinner plates, the radio in the kitchen and, loudest of all, the roar of Lina's toy cars racing down the hallway. But tonight Mama was lying on the sofa with a cool cloth over her eyes. "She has a bad headache," Baba explained quietly. "Loud noises make it worse. Can you help me keep the house calm?"
