غداً العيد! علّقت ماما ثياب مَجْد الجديدة على الباب، وبجانبها حذاءٌ جديدٌ لامع.
Tomorrow was Eid! Mama hung Majd's new clothes on the door. There were shiny new shoes too.

Majd and the Night Before Eid
وكان مَجْد فرحاناً جدّاً، لا يستطيع النوم. تململ وضحك وسأل: «هل جاء العيد؟»
Majd was too excited to sleep. He wiggled and giggled. "Is it Eid yet?" he asked.
فابتسم بابا: «ليس بعد. العيد يأتي أسرع حين ننام.» وغنّى أنشودة عيدٍ هادئة.
"Not yet," smiled Baba. "Eid comes faster when you sleep." He sang a soft Eid song.
ثمّ غطّته ماما وقبّلته على خدّه، فأغمض مَجْد عينيه. عيد مبارك يا مَجْد. النهاية.
Mama tucked Majd in and kissed his cheek. Majd closed his eyes. Eid Mubarak, Majd. The end.
